Nokia 6 launched in India for Rs 16999

HMD Global announced the launch of Nokia 6 with a new 4GB variant available in its matte black color. The company has also changed its preferred e-commerce partner for the particular device.

The Nokia 6 with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage is available on Flipkart for Rs 16,999 and will be up for sale starting February 20, said a Telecom Talk report. "To take the Nokia 6 experience to the next level, we are now introducing an updated version of this great phone- one with 4GB of RAM". Apart from the increase in RAM, there has been no change in terms of specifications. Also, do make a note that the new 4GB RAM variant of the Nokia 6 will be available only on Flipkart as it's listed as OnlyOnFlipkart product.

The new Nokia 6 sports a 5.5-inch full HD IPS display with a resolution of 1080x1920 pixels along with Corning Gorilla Glass protection on top. The processor is Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 and it will come with 4GB RAM, instead of the 3GB one on the previous phone. But HMD received decent feedback from the consumers as they were up to purchase the new Nokia products running Android.

On the camera front, the smartphone flaunts a 16-megapixel camera with PDAF, 1.0um sensor, f/2.0 aperture, and dual-tone LED flash. Additionally, as part of the launch, an additional exchange discount of Rs. 2,000 is being offered. Upfront is an 8-megapixel autofocus camera with f/2.0 aperture.

The bump in RAM and storage commands a slight premium compared to the regular Nokia 6. The storage is further expandable up to 128GB via a microSD card. For connectivity, the smartphone supports options like dual-SIM support, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v4.1, GPS, AGPS, NFC and micro USB port.

Meanwhile, sensors on board the smartphone include an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, gyroscope, magnetometer, and proximity sensor. This package is backed by a 3000mAh battery.
