Michigan State clears Miles Bridges to play

Per Forde and Thamel, Dawkins' expense accounts show he provided Bridges' mother with "hundreds of dollars in advances".

That line would appear to show an intent by Dawkins to broker a deal for Bowen committing to Michigan State in exchange for Harris and Bridges signing with ASM Sports.

Stephens, who played four seasons for the Spartans (1989-93) before beginning his coaching career, is in his 14 year as a Michigan State assistant and fifth as associate head coach to Tom Izzo. NCAA rules prohibit family members of players from accepting any money from agents.

"We are aware of the report in Yahoo!".

The federal documents focused primarily on Christian Dawkins, who worked for National Basketball Association agent Andy Miller's ASM Sports agency. "I'm confident that I have not committed a violation".

Yahoo's Pat Forde and Pete Thamel reported late Friday Stephens interacted with former ASM Sports Agency associate, Christian Dawkins, via email in July 2016, engaging in an alleged bidding war for University of SC freshman Brian Bowen, who was a five-star high school recruit at the time. With these latest allegations, it's clear this work is more important now than ever. "We also will continue to cooperate with the efforts of federal prosecutors to identify and punish the unscrupulous parties seeking to exploit the system through criminal acts".

The two items tied to Bridges were on the smaller scale of the players linked to Dawkins.

Yahoo is saying that federal documents detail multiple potential NCAA violations involving high profile players and schools. Bowen was ruled ineligible this fall after his father, according to the Louisville Courier-Journal, was promised $100,000 to ensure his son attended an Adidas-sponsored school, such as Louisville. He has since transferred to SC but has not played. Davis is a junior guard at Texas. According to the documents, Metu and/or his adviser, Johnnie Parker, received $2,000 from ASM Sports.

Knox, a 6-foot-9 freshman, is listed in the documents as one of at least 10 players who had a meeting or a meal with former ASM employee Christian Dawkins.
