"Call of Duty: Black Ops 4" Teases Gamers With New Trailer

After a couple of speculations and weird title design it is now official (kind of at least) that the next Call of Duty game for 2018 will be Black Ops 4. Treyarch is set to revolutionize the top-selling series in Call of Duty history when it launches worldwide on Friday, October 12, for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. Now Activision have confirmed that Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 (IIII) will be the next game.

The worldwide release of the game is set for October 12. While usually we would see a gameplay reveal in April, this time around, Treyarch will be unveiling all the details surrounding Black Ops 4 on the 17th of May. For several years, Call of Duty games have released during the first week of November, scooping up huge sales numbers in their wake. Both titles are expected to be in the top spots of the charts for many months after their release so, getting a head start in this competition seems like a good thing for Activision. We know Nintendo is running a Nintendo Direct later today, so it's possible the announcement will come during that event.

According to a report from CharlieIntel, the "Call of Duty" profile login site was updated recently, and it now allows players to link their Blizzard Battle.net accounts with their "Call of Duty" accounts. While it's no surprise Activision got ahead of the flood and made the announcement itself, Black Ops 4's release date tells a story. Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
