Cleveland Browns trading QB Kizer to Green Bay Packers for CB Randall

Cleveland Browns trading QB Kizer to Green Bay Packers for CB Randall

The Cleveland Browns are making a great deal of moves on Friday night. They traded for wide receiver Jarvis Landry, quarterback Tyrod Taylor and cornerback Damarious Randall, per reports.

A person familiar with the trade says the Cleveland Browns have traded quarterback DeShone Kizer to the Green Bay Packers.

The team account was all eyes emojis.

Trading for Randall means the Browns could target Minkah Fitzpatrick for free safety if they draft the Alabama defensive back with the fourth pick. He went in the second round to the Cleveland Browns, then had a nightmare rookie season. However, his 22 interceptions led the league. From the #Browns to Green Bay. If the Browns believe they can develop a quarterback not now on their roster behind Taylor they can use the number four pick on Sam Darnold or Josh Rosen. The team is also highly expected to take a rookie quarterback in the 2018 draft.

But Kizer needed time to develop.

Aaron Rodgers is still the starter, but the Packers saw very little to believe that Brett Hundley is a player worth developing much longer. Providing Rodgers remains healthy, it will be years before Kizer is expected to start in Green Bay. In the deal, the Packers receive former Notre Dame quarterback DeShone Kizer. Kizer can be that player and learn from one of the NFL's best quarterbacks without the pressure that he had in Cleveland.
