West Ham boss David Moyes urges unity amongst warring fans

West Ham boss David Moyes urges unity amongst warring fans

DAVID MOYES has confirmed that England goalkeeper - Joe Hart - will start this afternoon's huge Premier League clash with Burnley at the London Stadium.

West Ham have had more games with over 2.5 goals (59%), although it is notable that six of their eight home games under Moyes have had unders.

A group of fans began to taunt West Ham's owners David Gold and David Sullivan in the directors' box with both being escorted away before the final whistle for their own safety.

"That shows how far we have come if people think we are favourites against a big club like West Ham", said Gudmundsson.

"An emergency meeting has been called with all London Stadium stakeholders".

Yet Burnley's win rate is poor when they concede (three wins in 19) and West Ham's scoring record at home indicates difficulty for the visitors in keeping a clean sheet, which gives the hosts a decent shot at sneaking a win here. But you can't cross the line and come on the pitch. That was frustrating but this season I think I have played some good football.

"I've said it all along, Joe's been good, and I've got competition in some places so you have to play well".

"There were a couple of games where I wasn't happy that we had done quite as well as we could have done".

The Clarets have been the surprise package of the Premier League campaign and, with nine matches to go, they are the best of the rest outside the big six and have a chance of qualifying for Europe next season.

"It's taken a long time for me to get back to a point where I feel I can beat people and score goals, but my confidence is coming back and hopefully I can help the team get out of the situation that we're now in".
