Nintendo Announces Super Smash Bros. Switch For 2018 Release

The hugely popular game has been on many wish lists for the Switch and will likely be one of the Switch's biggest games of 2018, Forbes reported.

Super Smash Bros is finally coming to Nintendo Switch, Nintendo announced at the end of its Nintendo Direct presentation Thursday to wild fan applause from those assembled at the Nintendo World Store in New York City.

Suddenly, one of the characters turns around to see famous Nintendo characters Link and Mario standing behind her. They are Yoshi, Pit, Donkey Kong, Princess Peach, Ness, Marth, Sheik, Pikachu, Kirby, Samus Aran, Bowser, Fox, Captain Falcon, and Wario.

Give these a watch and let us know how hype you were when you first heard about Super Smash Bros. 5.

In addition, the logo of Super Smash Bros. for the Nintendo Switch is different from the logo of the Nintendo Wii U and Nintendo 3DS versions.

Nintendo will also release a remastered "Crash Bandicoot" trilogy on July 10 and the Zelda-esque game "Okami" in the summer.

Masahiro Sakurai, the creator of the Super Smash Bros. series, confirmed that he is working on the Nintendo Switch version of the franchise.

Back in 1999, Masahiro Sakurai gave the world a lovely gift: Super Smash Bros. for the Nintendo 64. "Please wait until we can release more information, or until release day!"
