Arsenal end three-match losing run in the EPL

Gary Neville pokes fun at more swathes of empty seats at the Emirates Stadium.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has explained why he is yet to show his best form for Arsenal following his arrival in January. They hold a 2-0 lead against Milan and will host the Serie A giants in the second leg on Thursday.

ARSENAL: Cech, Maitland-Niles, Mustafi (Chambers, 73 mins), Holding, Kolasinac, Elneny, Xhaka, Mkhitaryan (Wilshere, 78 mins), Ozil, Iwobi (Welbeck, 67 mins), Aubameyang.

Aaron Ramsey and Laurent Koscielny were rested ahead of this week's return leg against the Rossoneri but Shkodran Mustafi's eighth-minute opener had Arsenal swiftly on the front foot.

"Thanks to the result in Milan, we are in a good position to reach the last eight of the Europa League".

Defeat keeps Watford 10th and nine points clear of the relegation zone.

Cech did well to block Abdoulaye Doucoure's shot from a Richarlison cutback soon after, before the Brazilian himself forced the goalkeeper into a diving save with a well-taken free-kick, Roberto Pereyra firing over from the rebound.

Now on a more serious note, it was nice to see Aubameyang and Mkhitaryan link up today as it was so reminiscent of Dortmund, but the best thing that happened was Deeney missing a penalty which Cech actually saved!

"Troy before the match was concentrating on playing well, to help the team", Gracia said.

'Let's say that someday it might interest me.

"It was a bit hard at the beginning but I am feeling better", he added.

"They all just backed off".

"I always believe in the work I'm doing every day and I knew one day it was going to turn".

Arsenal have eased their way past Watford 3-0 in the Premier League, marking their first clean sheet in 12 league matches and settling nerves at the Emirates after a string of losses in 2018.

"In the first half unfortunately, we couldn't take our chances and then we were under threat".

"It was a bit frustrating but we now have eight games left and we have to make sure we win majority".

"I'm buzzing for Petr to get over that milestone".

"It's quite fortunate that it's against Deeney", Wenger said, adding that his players had been keen to send a message to the striker.

He's run us to the point where nobody expects anything and if we win, Arsene is the master who's still got it!

Arsenal was coming off a three match losing spree in the premier league.

That's mainly because the duo played together at Borussia Dortmund before Mkhitaryan was sold to Manchester United. Watford came back strongly in the second half but we did well with set-pieces and got the second goal after Petr Cech made a great save on the penalty.

"At 2-0 they had a penalty and if they had come back to 2-1 it is a fact that we have a bit of fatigue and we could have been in trouble but we took advantage of that miss".

It's natural for him to support Wenger, though how long he'll play for the manager is yet to be determined.
