Philips Hue Outdoor Smart Lights Coming in July

Philips Hue Outdoor Smart Lights Coming in July

Philips teased back in January that it would be launching outdoor Hue lights later in the year, and it has now provided details of the products - including pricing and availability.

The company on Monday introduced a new line of Hue outdoor lighting products, including wall-mounted luminaries, spot lighting, and pillar posts. Once plugged in and connected to your Hue bridge, you'll be able to control them through your Hue app, changing brightness, warmth, and color with touch or voice controls.

Philips Hue has just announced the first products to be added to its new outdoor range, allowing you to improve the security and create the ideal ambience in your garden, terrace or balcony. With the location awareness on your mobile phone the Hue lights you choose outdoor and indoor can turn on automatically to welcome you home.

The Luminaires are meant to be attached to the side of the house near doors.

With the Philips Hue white and color ambiance outdoor range, you can take your outdoor space to the next level, whether dining with friends, relaxing with a book, or simply beatifying your garden with colored light.

With the Hue app, you can check and control your lights wherever you are, and schedule them to switch on and off at specific times.

Spotlights such as the new Philips Hue Lily will be used to enhance key design features in gardens such as potted plans or flower beds. With the Hue app, you can choose from 16 million different colors for your lights to shine. Philip's Lucca, Tuar, Turaco, and Ludere lights will start at $49.99 and will only be available in the United States (at least at first).

The company has confirmed that the new Philips Hue outdoor lights will be available in July for customers in the United States and Europe. United States only: the PAR38 lamp will retail for Dollars 29.99 for a single pack and double pack for Dollars 49.99. Lily will be sold in packs of three for $279.99.
