Police were able to arrest the unidentified driver, according to the Miami Herald.

Miami police said there were no injuries at the scene and despite the man's attempt to flee he was taken into custody.

A man pulled out a sledgehammer and began to break the windows of the driver's vehicle.

The wild incident began at Northwest 36th Street when the driver of a silver Infiniti SUV weaved around a auto that was stopped at a traffic signal and wound up crashing into several other vehicles, WPLG-Ch.

A video captured an intense scene in Miami that unfolded over the weekend after a auto crash. In the video, one man screams, "Don't move".

Police confirmed Sunday afternoon that there was a hit-and run crash on Northeast 36th Street and Biscayne Boulevard in Miami.

Other people are seen in the video trying to pry open the auto doors and taking pictures of the car's license plate.

Police added they do not encourage witnesses to try and stop someone from leaving the scene, rather get a good description of the vehicle and contact authorities. Anthony Jimenez said "That is insane".

Regarding the behaviour of the Inifiniti driver, witness Anthony Jimenez said: "That's insane".

The arrest report said Lagutenko seemed to be under the influence of drugs.

He faces charges of fleeing and eluding police, leaving the scene of an accident involving property damage and reckless driving.

Police also used the incident - in regards to the person taking a hammer to the auto - not to take the law into their own hands.
