The Crimes of Grindelwald

The Crimes of Grindelwald

Newt Scamander (Eddie Redmayne), our beloved Hogwarts drop out magizoologist is working for Professor Albus Dumbledore (Jude Law) to track down and stop nefarious wizard Giller Grindelwald (Johnny Depp) in his tracks. From what can be gathered from the trailer Albus Dumbledore has sent Newt to Paris on some kind of mission.

Returning for the sequel is Katherine Waterston as Porpetina Goldstein, Dan Fogler as Newt's muggle friend Jacob Kowalski, and Ezra Miller as Credence Barebone, who seems to have survived his apparent death in the previous movie. Check it out above. But Dumbledore will need help from the wizard who had thwarted Grindelwald once before, his former student Newt Scamander. Harry Potter veteran David Yates directed Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald from a script by J.K. Rowling.

Johnny Depp is getting a whole look for the Fantastic Beasts sequel.

Guess there won't be a romantic reunion between the two powerful wizards in the movie.

The film expands the wizarding world, moving from NY to London and on to Paris.

Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald hits theaters everywhere on November 16. However, most don't know what he's really up to: he wants to raise pure-blood wizards to rule over all the non-magical beings on the planet.

The first film in the series was a great film, and in my humble opinion better than the Harry Potter films, and from this trailer this film is shaping up nicely. Series creator J.K. Rowling's defense of Depp only further ignited a backlash (which even Harry Potter himself, Daniel Radcliffe, couldn't quite argue with). This trailer teaser doesn't have any actual footage from the film but instead launches the global social activation #WandsReady.
