Two From Southwest Oklahoma Shine on 'American Idol' Premiere

Without question, it was a unanimous yes.

Noah Davis brought his love of alpacas and his wig-based lexicon to his audition.

"I'm amazed by the falsetto to the point of just wanting to remove myself from the room for a minute", Lionel gushed.

The judges unanimously voted to send Sussett to Hollywood, so this isn't the last we'll see of this American Idol hopeful.

Laine, a 17-year-old high school student from Livingston, LA, performed "Hurricane" by Band of Heathens with a surprising raspy and deep sound to his voice.

Perry's Idol antics didn't stop there as her male co-judges joked throughout the show that Perry was looking for a date. 'Worst National Anthem' redeemedHarper Grace, 16, said that if you search for "worst national anthem" online, her viral performance from five years ago is one of the first to pop up. You've got none. And you're not annoying. Lorenzo and Turner were passed through to the next round on the show on Sunday, when the show's new season debuted.

Next up was William Casanova, singing "A Song For You" by Donny Hathaway. As she was dancing, Perry lost her balance, taking a tumble and exposing herself to the judges in the process. It was an easy three yeses for Thaddeus. She performed Adele's "When We Were Young". She was entertaining, but she also had a strong voice. Luke added that Riss has "the voice of an angel", and she received a golden ticket without hesitation. After he sang "Don't You Worry Child" by Swedish House Mafia, all three judges gave him a return trip to Hollywood, and Lionel hugged him. Trevor sang Brett Young's "In Case You Didn't Know", changing the lyrics to "In case you didn't know/Katy, I'm insane 'bout you". So, I don't think it'd be fair to put you in that kind of competition.

In Los Angeles, Michelle Sussett is the first to try out, and she catches the judges' attention by dancing while belting out a Spanish language song. We'll keep an eye on the two of them to see how far they go.

Trevor Holmes, 27, Thousand Oaks, California: A construction worker who's had a crush on Katy for years, he bowled the judges over as soon as he walked in: Luke immediately dubbed him a "dreamboat", while Katy said "You're so hot. are you engaged?" And all three artists made it to the Hollywood.

Gabbii Jones sang "Dangerous Woman" by Ariana Grande.
