Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery Reveals Voice Talent, Release Date

Characters in the game will be voiced by actors from the Harry Potter films. The storyline is reportedly set in the wizarding world, years before the Harry Potter sage. Although Potter won't be part of the game, fans will see plenty of familiar faces.

Jam City in a statement said the actors involved were Dame Maggie Smith as Professor McGonagall; Michael Gambon as Professor Dumbledore; Warwick Davis as Professor Flitwick; Sally Mortemore as Madam Irma Pince; Gemma Jones as Madam Pomfrey and Zoe Wanamaker as Madam Hooch. The game is up for pre-registration right now on its official website.

The game takes place during the 1980's when Bill Weasley and Nymphadora Tonks were at Hogwarts, before Harry was born.

"If I could attend Hogwarts as a student, I would be most excited to attend the potions class taught by Severus because it is the most exotic", said Smith.

Players will receive their acceptance letter, learn spells alongside classmates, form friendships, and explore the grounds in the game - so, basically Animal Crossing Pocket Camp, but with magic.

The pair will lend their voices for Professor McGonagall and Professor Dumbledore nearly seven years after the last Harry Potter instalment was released.
