Andrea Constand Testifies Against Bill Cosby Again in New Sexual Assault Trial

Bill Cosby's chief accuser is set to take the witness stand at his sexual assault retrial.

Called by the prosecution, the 63-year-old Dickinson recounted a 1982 incident in a Lake Tahoe, California, hotel room, in which she says she was drugged and raped by Cosby.

A jury was deadlocked at his first trial last spring, setting the stage for a retrial.

Some 50 women have accused Cosby of assault, many of them alleging, as Constand did, that he slipped drugs into their drinks.

Cosby's legal team at his first trial was not almost as aggressive in attacking Ms Constand, focusing instead on inconsistencies in her statements to police and arguing the pair had a romantic relationship.

Nicolle Rochelle, an actress and activist from New Jersey, told People, that she wanted to make Cosby feel "uncomfortable" on his first day of court.

Delays Expected on I-78 this Weekend - Drivers are being warned to avoid Interstate 78 westbound near the New Jersey-Pennsylvania border this weekend. Why are you doing this to me? The restrictions will be in place from the Carpentersville Road overpass in Pohatcong to just beyond the Route 611 overpass in Williams Township. She said her protest was a way to "symbolically taking back the ownership of all the victims' bodies and redefining it as a political tool as opposed to a sexual object". "I wanted to punch him in the face", she said.

"Were you able to verbalize and tell him to stop?" state prosecutor Kristen Feden asked Constand.

The fallout from accusations against Cosby, Bill O'Reilly, Harvey Weinstein, and more have advanced the conversation around how we think about the trauma of sexual misconduct, why women are often reluctant to report it, and why they may wait years to speak out.

The suit was settled in November 2006 out of court for $3.4 million (£2.4 million), though it ultimately produced close to 1,000 pages of testimony against Cosby. Over the next year, she said he invited her for dinner at his house multiple times and once to Foxwoods Casino in CT.

Heidi Thomas told jurors on Tuesday that Cosby knocked her out with wine and forced her to perform oral sex in Reno, Nevada, in 1984.

Lasha, of Palmdale, Calif., was tearful from the moment she took the witness stand and stated her name.

Thomas, 58, a music teacher from Colorado, spent almost three hours on the witness stand over two days this week, testifying about a 1984 trip to Reno, Nev., where she says Cosby drugged and assaulted her during an acting lesson. She said she did it to accommodate her grandmother. I couldn't say anything. The case has helped demolish his image as America's Dad, cultivated during his eight-year run as kindly Dr. Cliff Huxtable on the top-rated "The Cosby Show" in the 1980s and '90s. She said Cosby apologized on the phone call but would not tell her the pills he gave her.

"Shortly after I took the pictures and he finished the conversation, he got on top of me", Dickinson said.

Cosby, the 80-year-old TV icon, has pleaded not guilty to three charges of aggravated indecent assault.

She testified that she remembers waking up later to Cosby clapping his hands to her.

"It's all a fabrication there because I wanted the paycheck for my kids", Dickinson testified, adding that her ghostwriter took "poetic license" with her life story. The settlement says Cosby entered into the agreement so long as the facts, allegations and information gathered during the course of the litigation did not become public.

Constand's lawyer, Dolores Troiani, called the attacks on her client "outrageous" and "baseless", and ripped Cosby's team for trashing her reputation in the courtroom - where lawyers are immune from defamation lawsuits - and in statements to the media. She told the jurors she wants to "see a serial rapist convicted". "Since you came out, you've had a lot of attention, wouldn't you agree with me?" the lawyer asked.

The Associated Press doesn't typically identify people who say they're victims of sexual assault unless they grant permission, which Constand and the other women have done.
