PM Narendra Modi to roll out Aysuhman Bharat tomorrow

Security force has been deployed for Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to Bijapur district, where he will inaugurate first health centre under Ayushman Bharat Scheme on April 14 - Ambedkar Jayanti.

The PM reiterated that the Centre is committed to fulfil the aspirations of the people of the region and is working on a series of development projects including construction of roads, a steel plant, airport and railway corridors in Bastar and adjoining areas. He visited a Haat Bazaar Health Kiosk and interacted with health workers. He will inaugurate a bank branch at Jangla and distribute loan sanction letters under the Mudra Scheme to select beneficiaries. PM Modi inaugurated a new rail line and a passenger train.

Modi also laid the foundation stone for many development schemes in the area. Today he added, Ayushman Bharat and Gram Swaraj Abhiyan, are being launched from the State.

"On the occasion of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar's birth anniversary, I would like to ask the youth on the path of violence that the Constitution takes care of your rights".

"I seek to remove the "backward" label from the 115 districts and call them Aspirational Districts", said the PM.




Under Ayushman Bharat, the government aims to set up 1.5 lakh wellness centres by 2022 that will leverage on comprehensive primary health care for preventive, promotive and curative care.

Under the Ayushman Bharat Scheme, there are two initiatives, of which one was launched today by the Prime Minister. He said these Health and Wellness Centres would function like a family doctor for the poor.

This is also the Prime Minister's fourth visit to Chhattisgarh, where assembly elections are due later in the year.

These seven districts-Bijapur, Narayanpur, Bastar, Kanker, Kondagaon, Sukma and Dantewada-are among the 16 in Chattisgarh and total of 106 across 10 states that have been affected by Left-wing extremism. Referring to the Ujjwala scheme, Raman Singh said that this will benefit SC/ST women the most.

The Prime Minister asserted that people's participation is the strength of the Government, which will help in the creation of New India by 2022.
