Cheeky Jordan Henderson joins the Harry Kane banter bus

Cheeky Jordan Henderson joins the Harry Kane banter bus

Liverpool winger Mohamed Salah, Kane's competitor for the Premier League Golden Boot, took to Twitter to share his disbelief at the Premier League's ruling and found support from quite a few of his club mates.

"I wouldn't put it past him, we have seen what he has done before".

"To win the Champions League is "whissssshhhh" I can't say "woahhh".

"But that can't be H's main focus this season".

"He can come up with hat-tricks - he's got great finishing and [Sergio] Aguero is similar".

"We knew Bournemouth would make it hard but we could have had a few more in the first half, I thought we dominated the game", he added.

Tottenham are on a 14-match unbeaten run in the Premier League, stretching back to December when they were beaten by this Saturday's opponents Manchester City.

"That is so important but the ambition is to win titles and one day the Premier League or Champions League". "Hopefully, we have done it, we have got to finish the season strongly and pick up some form again".

Salah's golden boot dual with Kane took a twist last week when the Tottenham forward was successful with his claim that Christian Eriksen's second goal against Stoke should actually be awarded to him as it brushed his shoulder.

The decision was greeted with surprise by Salah, while Liverpool's Jordan Henderson could not resist a joke at Kane's expense following to win over Bournemouth, which moved the Reds three points clear of Spurs.

"[Salah] told me he's going to claim all of them", Henderson told BT Sport after his team-mate netted his 30th top-flight goal of a remarkable campaign. "He has just got to ignore what everyone else is saying, he knows how good he is and I am sure everyone else knows how good he is".

"Of course he never thought that this situation was going to go on to such big things when he was so, so, so, so certain that he touched the ball", the Argentinian added.
