Monday's Wake-Up Weather: Winds and temps pick up again!

Highs this afternoon will climb into the upper 70s east, to lower 80s west. Over 4 inches of rain has fallen in several locations over the past 24 hours so we are dealing with lots of runoff. Expect a warmer Wednesday and Thursday and another cool-down for Friday and the weekend. This one tracks to our south, keeping us free from severe weather, but in an area of widespread rain and cool, cloudy conditions. Another round of rain is in the forecast and you can read about the timing of that below. A few areas could see wind gusts of 60 miles per hour. Winds will stay calm out of the south. Sunshine will return for our Tuesday, but things will feel a little breezy with winds out of the southwest at 10-20 miles per hour. We only make it into the low 40s for a high tomorrow.

Wednesday is looking handsome with a high of 75 and partly sunny skies! Wednesday night will be wet. Tonight will be mild in the mid 50s, but the breeze stays overnight.

We're starting off Monday with a wintry mix.

Quiet weather hangs around through Friday, mostly sunny with low to middle 60's both Thursday and Friday.

Despite some showers and storms moving through late Friday night bringing some very strong winds that caused some damage to resident homes, it was a very nice weekend in South Texas. Saturday sunny and seasonable.
