Jets, Giants Schedules Released

Jets, Giants Schedules Released

The NFL announced that all 32 team's schedules would be released at 8 p.m.

The schedule unfolds from there with the home opener on September 16 against the division-rival Miami Dolphins at MetLife Stadium, a Thursday night Week 3 appearance at Cleveland, a three-game October home stand, the Jets' "usual" Week 11 bye, five division games in the second half of the schedule, a December Saturday afternoon or evening home game against Houston, and another regular-season finale at the New England Patriots. The Jets will be busy for the beginning stages of the season, having two prime time games in the first three weeks. This will be there first time on Monday Night Football since the 2016 season.

Miami will make an appearance on the nationally-televised Thursday Night Football package on October 25 at Houston. The game will be a 1:00 kick-off and provided Mother Nature doesn't intervene the Dolphins will finally open at home.

The Jets face new Lions head coach Matt Patricia, who is very familiar with the Jets, as he was the defensive coordinator for the Patriots just a year ago.

The Dolphins will play the Bills twice first on December 2 and then again in Buffalo on December 30 to end the season.

CBS4 will once again be the television home of the Miami Dolphins and will carry all four preseason games and eleven regular season games.

After not having a bye week last season, the National Football League did not do the Dolphins any favors with their 2018 schedule.

Preseason Week 3: Saturday, August 25th- Dolphins vs. Ravens 7 p.m.

Week 7: Sunday, Oct. 21, Minnesota, 1 p.m. The back end of the schedule is the toughest piece of the schedule, and that could be a rough ending. But the Giants will see the Cowboys early in the season, a Week 2 clash on Sunday Night Football on September 16.

This is good news for Miami who will see more 1:00 p.m. kick-offs forcing teams to play in the humidity of South Florida.

Preseason Week 2: Friday, August 17th- Dolphins @ Panthers 7:30 p.m.

Week 9: Sunday, November 4th- Dolphins vs. Jets 1 p.m.
