The report states that the team are trying to understand how a battle royale game would work within the confines of Battlefield's regular mechanics, but this doesn't necessarily mean that Battlefield V will have this mode.

That said, it will be interesting to see if games like "Call of Duty" and "Battlefield" can actually improve upon the battle-royale formula at all, or if they just intend to cash in.

Epic is aware of an increase in server crashes with the FOrnite V3.5 update. I'm sure they will have a lot more on their plate with the new season (and meteor impact) approaching.
