'Pokemon' game for Nintendo Switch rumored to be announed soon

'Pokemon' game for Nintendo Switch rumored to be announed soon

The reason for Pokemon on Nintendo Switch to take cues from Pokemon Go has to with the tremendous success seen by the latter. That's all changed as of today, as Nintendo made a move that just dropped a bunch of gasoline onto the fire.

The interesting part is exactly what these domains were: Pokemon Let's Go Pikachu and Pokemon Let's Go Eevee.

Let us know in the comments if you are excited about Pokemon Go Pikachu and Pokemon Go Eevee on Nintendo Switch.

Rogers followed up on this claim with a longer blog post, where she stated that the Pokemon game (s) for Switch will be announced before the end of May, and that the branding of the titles "might raise a few eyebrows". Apparently the games will be a remake of Pokemon Yellow, with Pikachu as the starter in one game and Eevee as the starter in the other. Linking the console and mobile games was also mentioned, though to what extent remains unknown.

The rumored games also explain several moves made recently by the Pokemon Company.

Joe Merrick of the Pokemon news site Serebii.net was the first to report the news. It remains to be seen how they will be changing this exactly, but more information will likely be coming soon. It will be a new generation of Pokemon if we can believe the rumors. The possibilities are pretty much limitless, and they're definitely more intriguing if the rumors of the Nintendo Switch games and Pokemon GO being connected come to pass. We were told at the time that these are mainline Pokemon titles and that it might be a year or more before Game Freak and Nintendo were ready to talk about them more. Pokemon merchandise has prominently featured Eevee in recent months and the already popular Pokemon got its own Twitter account and a prime role in the new movie.
