STALKER 2 Seems Set For 2021 Release Date

The team was sacked, then the developers GSC Game World "spun off" in their own Studio, Vostok, which is engaged in the development of the online shooter in a post-apocalyptic setting of Survarium. We've reached out to GSC Game World for comment on what exactly we can hope to see with S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2. The post says nothing more about the upcoming sequel or game, but you can read it over right here if you want to.

So far, the STALKER franchise has 3 titles: S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl; S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Clear Sky of 2008 and S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat of 2009.

If it is to believe, we might not be getting the Stalker game up until 2021. As for what the unusual acronym means, it was apparently revealed to be "Scavengers, Trespassers, Adventurers, Loners, Killers, Explorers, and Robbers" back in 2012 when the first attempt at making S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 was underway.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 seems to be coming in 2021 according to a post on ResetEra.

As for the game engine, nothing has surfaced yet.

Later, In 2012 GSC Game World stated that the game was "currently in development" without a release date.

This was later confirmed thanks to a Facebook post from Sergiy Grygorovych, CEO of GSC Games World, the development house responsible for the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. series.
