TI Arrested For Disorderly Conduct Outside of His Own Gated Community

Police say the rapper T.I. was arrested early Wednesday on disorderly conduct, public drunkenness and simple assault charges as he tried to enter his gated community outside Atlanta.

T.I. found himself behind bars after an altercation with a security guard led to his arrest on Wednesday morning in Henry County, Georgia - all because he apparently forgot his keys.

T.I. says he called out the guard for sleeping on the job and an argument ensued between the two.

Police from Henry County, located just outside Atlanta, said to local media that T.I.

Henry County Police deputy Mike Ireland said TI was arrested around 4.30am after he got into an argument with a security guard. The rapper has since bonded out. Holmes was arrested on outstanding charges out of Clayton County and for not having proof of vehicle insurance. He is now free after posting bail. He claims the guard was asleep when his client arrived at the guardhouse and it took "some time to wake up the sleeping guard". He says the guard continued to refuse entry "without justification" before words were exchanged and police were called.

T.I. - whose real name is Clifford Harris Jr. - is no stranger to crime, but he changed his life around and has mostly stayed away from legal trouble after serving several stints in federal prison. In 2009, he was sentenced to one year and one day in prison and ordered to pay $100,300 for federal weapons charges after his sentence was reduced via plea bargain from 10 years and a $250,000 fine. Tip was in contact with "Tiny" by phone and "Tiny" confirmed that Tip should be let in immediately.

As we sai8d above, T.I. was eventually allowed entry, but cops say he returned to the guard shack a while later ... and that's when the guard called police.

Despite the headline-generating bust, Tip didn't spend much time in police custody or have to stand before a judge.
