Stop everything! There's a Pretty Little Liars spin-off in the works

Pretty Little Liars ran for seven seasons on Freeform and wrapped up a year ago after a whopping 160 episodes.

Sasha Pieterse has opened up about the upcoming PLL spinoff series, The Perfectionists.

Within the first trailer for Fairly Little Liars: The Perfectionists, followers of the unique Freeform collection will reunite with Alison DiLaurentis (Sasha Pieterse) as she treks to OR from Rosewood, Pennsylvania, for a educating job at a neighborhood highschool.

Based on Sara Shepard's book The Perfectionists, the drama was first put into development at Freeform in November 2014 as an unrelated series.

They've kept details of the show under wraps but what we do know is that in addition to Ali and Mona, two of the other major characters will include Ava, played by Sofia Carson, and Caitlin, played by Sydney Park. Alloy Entertainment and Long Lake Media produce in association with Warner Horizon Scripted Television.

That's per the first trailer, which just took us to the town of Beacon Heights, "a seemingly flawless town" where "a group of three college friends struggle with the stress of being overachievers". The pilot was directed and executive produced by Elizabeth Allen Rosenbaum (Relationship Status). In the wake of the town's first murder, each of them will hide behind a secret, a lie and an alibi. Connecting The Perfectionists to the Pretty Little Liars brand is a savvy move that will automatically bring in an established audience and help cut through the cluttered landscape.

PLL's first spin-off, Ravenswood, appeared on ABC Family, now Freeform, in 2013, and was cancelled after just one season.
