Woman attacked and killed by pack of dogs identified

Tracy Garcia, 52, was killed by a neighbour's dogs in her home last week, reports U.S. news outlet KFOR.

When Sheriff's deputies arrived at the scene, one of the dogs was shot.

Garcia was near her home when the dogs, who lived on a neighbouring property, attacked her on Thursday evening. It is not clear what led the dogs to behave in such a vicious manner.

The dogs were either daschund-terrier or daschund-border collie mixes.

Dinwiddie said that the animals were "infested with fleas and ticks". Their ages "ranged from probably a year to about three years". However, KXII reported that vet hospital officials have decided that the dogs won't be tested.

The victim of a deadly dog attack in Carter County last week has been identified.

Carter County Sheriff Chris Bryant said: 'This is a bad situation, a very unfortunate situation.

"If there was any possible issue of them biting someone else, then it would've been (done), but the dogs are deceased as well as the victim, so there's just no reason to go and spend thousands and thousands of dollars", Dinwiddie, the euthanasia technician, said, according to KXII. She later died at the hospital. "This is just a bad deal all the way around".

"We were cleaning ticks off ourselves all day", she said. "They are very covered, you can tell they have been living out in the woods". The dogs belonged to her neighbor, according to KXII in Oklahoma. The district attorney will determine whether any charges will be filed against the owner of the dogs. She enjoyed playing piano and singing gospel music in the Baptiste Family Band.
