Bethesda Softworks Releases Doom Eternal Reveal Trailer; Brings Hell On Earth

On Sunday night, Bethesda surprised the crowd at their annual E3 press conference with a surprise reveal of Doom Eternal, a sequel to 2016's critically acclaimed Doom. Doom Eternal is the follow-up to Doom.and that's about all the information we have on it. Developer id Software hasn't just been busy on Rage 2, they've been working on DOOM Eternal.

During Bethesda's annual E3 press conference the company showed a teaser trailer that featured numerous iconic enemies from the series, including the minotaur-like cyber-demon and the giant spider-brains with a mounted laser. The sequel will feature a hell-on-Earth setting with twice as many demons as its predecessor.

As the DOOM Slayer, return to take your vengeance against the forces of Hell. Although we'll have to wait until QuakeCon in August to see gameplay we do know that the soundtrack is being written by none other than Mick Gordon. Based on what was revealed at the show, it sounds like this is going to be a new Doom game rather than a remaster or a remake. The publisher has promised double the number of demons and a whole lot more action.
