Fallout 76 Is Multiplayer And Entirely Online, Releases November 14, 2018

The world got an in-depth look at what to expect with Fallout: 76 during Bethesda's E3 press conference on Sunday. And when you factor in co-op or teaming up with friends and strangers, more of an incentive to go out scavenging for materials and then going back home to craft some new weapons.

Set in post-apocalyptic West Virginia, it sees players take on the role of an occupant of Vault 76, one of the first to open following the nuclear apocalypse. "Not hundreds or thousands just dozens of players as it is the apocalypse after all".

As a fan of Fallout myself, I was keen to snag a Fallout 76 Power Armor Edition pre-order. The lore aspects of the Wasteland are very much present and it gives us an inside look at how this entire epic franchise began.

What is the gameplay like?

"This game builds upon the building mechanics in the last game and sports it as one of its new core feature", Howard explained.

But after surviving the nuclear attacks, what is in store for players?

You can play the game single-player, if you want, but the idea is that every single person in the world of Fallout 76 is real - the emphasis is clearly on multiplayer. It's now unclear whether there will be a "passive" setting that disables player-on-player combat.

People who don't have a ton of time to play games and aren't sure how much time they can or want to invest in an online RPG.

Todd Howard, the director and executive producer at Fallout's publisher Bethesda, said that Fallout 76 is a prequel to all other games. Now you can get the game, still for free, on the gaming platform of your choice and be the Vault supervisor you were always meant to be.

Tonight we learned that players will be one of the few chosen to stay in Vault 76 for twenty-five years waiting for Reclamation Day. As we did not see any usage of V.A.T.S.in the Fallout 76 reveal - which is the pause and target different body parts combat - it might be sitting out Fallout 76.

The answer to this question is 100% yes!

Todd Howard confirmed that the game is oriented at multiplayer and requires a constant connection to the Bethesda services.

$200 is a hefty price-tag for a special edition video game release.

Not only that, the game will support dedicated servers at launch and will support it for a foreseeable future.

Bethesda also announced a beta for Fallout 76, though no date or window was given.

It can also be pre-ordered for PS4, Xbox One and PC of retailers such as Amazon, eBay, Walmart and Best Buy. In that edition, it was possible to put your phone into the wearable and load up an app to connect your game.

Is Fallout 76 all you hoped and dreamed it would be?

The Collector's Edition includes a large map, which glows in the dark. An interesting an fun story mechanic that plays into perhaps the biggest and most notable change coming to Fallout 76.

Fallout 76 will release for PS4, Xbox One and PC on November 14.
