Delhi: 11 members of a family found dead in Burari

Police is yet to give out further details of the case.

Some of the bodies recovered were found hanging, while some were blindfolded.

Police officer Vineet Kumar said all of them belonged to a family and most had lived in one home in Burari village in the northern part of the capital.

Eleven members of a family have been found dead inside a home in north Delhi's Burari area this morning.




Police suspect the family committed suicide after suffering financial losses in business.

"We are investigating from all possible angles, we are not ruling out anything", Delhi's joint commissioner of police said. Two of them could be minors, an officer said. As per reports, the deceased included 7 women and 4 men.

Some of the bodies were found hanging from the iron grill ceiling, while others were found lying on the floor with their hands and legs tied.

He informed the police, who rushed to the spot and cordoned the area.
