Cheeky Princess Charlotte puts the paparazzi in their place

His Royal Highness Prince Louis of Cambridge is fifth in line to the throne, and the sixth great-grandchild of Queen Elizabeth.

Britain's Prince Louis of Cambridge, the baby son of Prince William and his wife Kate, was christened on Monday, July 9, but Queen Elizabeth II did not attend.

The queen, dressed in a royal blue outfit with turquoise edging, later hosted a ceremony to present the RAF with a new Queen's Colour, at which she recognised the service's work.

"I'm delighted and privileged to be christening Prince Louis today - a precious child made in God's image, just as we all are", Archbishop of Canterbury Justin Welby said on Twitter.

His siblings, Prince George and Princess Charlotte, walked slightly in front, holding their father's hands.

In one photo, Prince George and Princess Charlotte can be seen pressing their faces to the window, watching the event unfold.

George wore a smart bottle-green polo neck shirt and shorts, and on his feet were a pair of navy blue canvas shoes by Trotters Childrenswear. The christening cake is actually a tier of the 17-tier wedding cake.

Despite the fact that it "all got a bit much for Princess Charlotte at one point, who leaned into her mum for a cuddle", she waved happily at the crowd for most of the event - proving that "Charlotte isn't just any ol' 3-year-old", concludes Good Housekeeping magazine.

Prince Louis' first godmother is Lady Laura Meade.

Prince Louis' elder siblings, Prince George and Princess Charlotte, have also worn the garment.

Meade is the wife of James Meade, who is the godfather of Princess Charlotte, and the couple has joined Prince William and Kate Middleton this summer in Norfolk and Gloucestershire.

They include the Duchess' cousin Lucy Middleton and Guy Pelly, a childhood friend of William's. The two attended Eton together, and he was an usher at William and Kate's 2011 wedding.

Welby baptized Louis by pouring holy water from the River Jordan over his head.

Royal babies are baptised in the same intricate cream lace christening gown.

Mr. Harry Aubrey-Fletcher attended both Ludgrove prep school and Eton with William. As after George and Charlotte's baptisms, guests will be served slices of the duke and duchess's wedding cake.

Kate Middleton's internal fashion mantra lately: "When it's right, it's right".
