Na snaps seven-year PGA winless streak

"I guess this whole thing's new to me because I've never had a lead going into the last day", Varner said.

"It took me eight years to win the first time and at the time I told everyone it would not take me eight years to win another one".

Russell Henley (a final-round-low 63) ended up alone in 10th, another shot in arrears. Varner would birdie holes 11,12, 14, and 17. Na has four top-10 finishes this year on the PGA Tour, including a second-place finish at the Genesis Open in February and a fourth-place finish at the Forth Worth Invitational in May.

"I'm just going to stay patient tomorrow", he said. 4, 5, 6, 8 and 9 on the front to get out under 30, and then he closed with a ho-hum 35 on the back for a 64 and the victory - his first since 2011 and just his second overall. He improved 40 spots to No. 18 in the FedEx Cup standings.

Na said the win this week did more than just get the proverbial monkey off his back - it provides the 34-year-old a great confidence boost. That gave the final spot to Cook.

Fox had an 8-foot birdie putt to extend the playoff, but it caught the lip and spun away. It was an easy putt, obviously, and all I needed to do was two-putt. Making two of them from nearly identical positions, I mean, that's a bit of a bonus. "It's nice to get that second trophy".

Snedeker recorded eight birdies and two bogeys on his climb up the leaderboard and was encouraged about his play 10 days before the beginning of the season's third major tournament, the Open Championship at Carnoustie in Scotland. Na had already earned a spot.

He finished off a bogey-free final round to post a 22-under 266, two shots clear of Jones (69) Munoz, who birdied his last two holes to salvage a 70.

Varner, who collected a European Tour triumph at the 2016 Australian PGA Championship, made 10 consecutive pars to start, including a 14-foot putt at the par-3 third and a 10-footer at the sixth.

After a tee shot onto the 177-yard par-3 green 18th, Stegmaier suffered from a tough three-putt for a bogey putting him at 3 under for the round.

Na shot a final-round six-under 64, highlighted by five birdies on his first nine holes.
