England have potential for much more, says proud Gareth Southgate

Football fans are getting into the matchday spirit by donning waistcoats in tribute to England manager Gareth Southgate.

In addition to touching on England's preparations for the nation's biggest game in almost three decades, Southgate took the time to praise World Cup hosts Russian Federation.

"Football's coming home.I couldn't listen to it for 20 years, frankly", Southgate said.

According to the black box simulations, Belgium will edge out France while England will defeat Croatia in the semi-finals, which are taking place on Tuesday and Wednesday respectively.

"It has a slightly different feel for me, but it's nice to hear people enjoying it again".

"I would just walk out of the room".

England manager Gareth Southgate says he knew that the negative press about Russian Federation leading up to this summer's World Cup would not turn out to be true. "It is an anthem and has followed the team for a long time, but involved some hard moments as well".

England will play France if they reach the final and World Cup-winning goalkeeper Gordon Banks was in confident mood about the team's chances of victory.

Standing amongst the England fans, Rowe was pointed out by BBC Sport presenter Gary Lineker while wearing the increasingly popular waistcoat.

Thousands of supporters in Russian Federation and millions at home will watch nervously as the team face Croatia for the right to play in Sunday's final - and potentially end 52 years without a major trophy.

Meanwhile, Three Lions is set to score a UK No.1 this week, 22 years on from when it was originally released.
