'Lewy wants Bayern exit, but…'

'Lewy wants Bayern exit, but…'

It is widely believed that Lewandowski would favour a move to the Bernabéu, however Bayern Munich will demand £70m+ for the former Borussia Dortmund favourite.

Although the Poland global has been linked with a simmer exit and is keen on a move, the new man in charge insisted the German champions are putting their foot down.

But it has not stopped the club from being linked with a number of top star, including Gonzalo Higuain, Daniele Rugani and Anthony Martial.

But Bayern have continued to maintain their hardline stance with Lewandowski, with their ego being bruised by him telling them he wants to quit and a failure to find a suitable replacement.

However, Bayern publicly claim the 29-year-old - who has four years left on his contract - is going nowhere and boss Niko Kovac reiterated that statement over the weekend after insisting they won't let the striker leave this summer.

"He will not leave this club", he said.

'There's nothing new with Robert, it's clear that he will not leave this club because we have a top striker and we certainly do not want to relinquish him or give him away, ' he told Sky Sport Germany. We have no interest in selling him and it does not matter if somebody offers 100 or 150million.

'It's true that Robert toys with going elsewhere. Naturally, one thing is what he wants, the other is what we want. Yet he's the second-youngest player who started regularly for Bayern a year ago with RB Leipzig import Joshua Kimmich coming in under him at 23.

Which team are you supporting in the 2018 World Cup?

'Robert has a contract - I do not know how long - and he will certainly stay as long as possible here'.
