Khabib's fight plan for Conor: 'Make him exhausted and make him tap'

UFC 229 Embedded is an all-access, behind-the-scenes video blog leading up to UFC 229: Khabib vs. McGregor taking place Saturday, October 6th on Pay-Per-View.

McGregor hasn't stepped foot into the Octagon in almost two years, but now that he's got the hunger back to compete again, he's planning on staying very busy in the near future.

"I'm here for the love of this game, for the love of competition", he told The Mac Life. "Those two UFC world titles".

Let's take a closer look at the biggest ones entering Saturday at T-Mobile Arena.

As he prepares for his showdown against Khabib Nurmagomedov at UFC 229 this weekend, McGregor has already started to contemplate what comes next for him now that he's back to fighting full time again. They wanted the world tours, but I was like I'm a bit confused by what you're asking here. "I know there's [Anthony] Pettis and [Tony] Ferguson in the co-main".

"Conor made 100 f****** million dollars, so now he's saying "yeah, I'm just going to train".

"Dustin and Nate are competing, I know that the 170-pounds belt has also just been defended and I know Tyron is itching for that fight, like they all f***ing are". So I'm here and I'm ready so let's see what happens.

Could we see a third fight between Conor McGregor and Nate Diaz? "I've got my eye on everyone". Anthony Pettis in a lightweight bout will co-headline this show and the belief is that the UFC would have one of these fighters step in to fight McGregor in the main event.

There's nothing right now to suggest the fight won't happen, but McGregor's camp has acknowledged there is some concern over Nurmagomedov's ability to stay healthy and make weight - something that's been an issue in the past for the undefeated Russian.

Originally when that fight got announced, I thought "if Khabib bottles this fight, I don't care about those other two". "Now that I'm here and I'm back, I think if he didn't show up then I would take a fight against either one of those, but I'm already mapping out what's next." .

Twenty-three months since his last mixed martial arts bout, McGregor will bid to regain the UFC lightweight title when he fights reigning champion Khabib Nurmagomedov on Saturday night.

First though, the former UFC lightweight and featherweight champion has to get past his next challenge.
