Aaron Ramsey wonder goal for Arsenal, Riyad Mahrez misses penalty

Aaron Ramsey wonder goal for Arsenal, Riyad Mahrez misses penalty

The 23-year-old had played exceptionally well for Arsenal in their 5-1 victory against Fulham at Craven Cottage yesterday.

Lacazette, however, wants to silence any chat of such an achievement and focus on doing the things which have enabled Emery to oversee such a streak.

Arsenal's previous winnings include Aaron Ramsey goal which came from a stunning team move as Arsenal made it nine wins on the spin across all competitions.

Lacazette said to the Evening Standard: "We knew even if we lost the first two games it was not the end of the world".

Alexandre Lacazette has spoken of his growing understanding with his "brother" Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang after the forwards propelled Arsenal into the top four of the Premier League.

Aubameyang's arrival cast doubt on Lacazette's future at the club but the pair have clicked on and off the pitch, mustering 11 goals between them this season.

"It is hard to compare (Aubameyang's record) with Thierry because he came younger and Auba is at the top of his career but I hope Auba scores as many goals to help us win something", Lacazette said.

"It was an important goal for Aaron and an important goal for us", said manager Unai Emery with more than a touch of understatement.

The mood around the club is one of optimism at the moment, with many fans happy with the way things are going on the pitch under the new Spanish boss, as they sung in the away end against Fulham "We've got our Arsenal back", though Merson's comments paint a more realistic picture of the team's progress.

'Every day we talk, we love to work together and on Sunday in front of the goal and we scored two goals, which is good'.

Aubameyang continued his excellent form since coming to England in January with his 15th and 16th Premier League goals for the club against Fulham.

'And it's a massive one as we're on the verge of losing another player that's a good player for Arsenal'.
