West Indies all out for 181, India enforce follow-on

After the completion of the ongoing Test series between India and West Indies, the two teams will battle it out in an ODI and T20 series from October 21 as the first ODI will be played at Guwahati.

Indian Cricket Team, India captain Virat Kohli and speedster Jasprit Bumrah maintained their respective top positions in the latest ICC ODI rankings released Monday.

Kuldeep Yadav recorded a maiden five-wicket haul in Tests, following Bhuvneshwar Kumar in becoming only the second Indian bowler to take five wickets in all three formats of the game.

Pierre and McCoy have also been picked based on their CPL performances, while Allen and Hemraj have shown form with West Indies' A and B teams.

Ravichandran Ashwin (2-71) and Ravindra Jadeja (3-35) shared the other five wickets as the spinners ran amok against West Indies.

The 31-year-old will be playing his first T20 series of the year. "That's why he's been pushed to the Test team", Kohli said after the win. The off-spinner dismissed Chase, who made 53, and Sherman Lewis in the same over and then had Shannon Gabriel stumped for one as West Indies failed to get anywhere near the follow-on mark.

The youngster scored a test century on his test debut to become only the second batsman in the world to score a century on debut under the age of 20, joining Sachin Tendulkar. Alzarri Joseph, who has been named in the ODI squad, will undergo a fitness test before leaving for India.

If that didn't spell trouble for the visitors, the Indian bowling surely did. Hardik Pandya has been a major let down in the all-rounder's role for too long now and Jadeja looks to be India's answer to that. "I was pleased I managed to get some time out in the middle in the first game".

Tail-ender Keemo Paul, in only his second Test, bludgeoned a four and a six in an unbeaten 13 to see West Indies to the close. "Sad to see this situation of West Indies cricket. there was a time when people fear playing against them. hope they do get some good players and compete at worldwide level", wrote Harbhajan.
