Trump signs bills on day of Kanye West's visit

Also attending is former National Football League great Jim Brown, a civil rights leader who has met with Trump previously.

Trump also defended West as a "nice guy" and "actually a different kind of person than people think". But West isn't the only star at the White House Thursday. Reports state that their meeting is scheduled on the same day as of the signing of new legislation that has the potential to benefit Yeezy and his artistic colleagues financially.

The meeting that will take place at the White House this week between Trump and Ye is said to concern topics of social issues like prison reform, employment in the manufacturing industry and gang violence.

"God, I wish I could get through to the 52 percent of white women who put Trump in office, but they're too far gone, so instead I am looking to young people", Sarah Silverman said. Brown and rapper Kanye West are scheduled to meet with President Donald Trump.

West has received a lot of backlash from fans and his fellow celebrities for his support of the president including a recent slew of criticism from several members of "Saturday Night Live" who bashed West after going on a pro-Trump rant at the end of the show earlier this month. Asked if he would consider campaigning with the rapper, Trump said, "I could see it".

Recording Academy President and CEO Neil Portnow and Recording Industry Association of America President Mitch Glazier, along with other music industry leaders are expected to attend.

"There are people in jail for really long terms", Trump said in an interview with Fox News.
