Samsung Galaxy A9 Quad-Camera Mid-Range Phone Image And Benchmarks Leak

Images of the Galaxy A9 were leaked ahead of today's launch by Evan Blass and German site AllAboutSamsung, which filled in details of a claim by phone leaker Ice Universe in September that Samsung was cooking up a four-camera phone. Samsung bases the design around a notchless 6.3-inch Super AMOLED screen with 1080 x 2220 pixels resolution. The device sports aluminum body with the 3D curved back body. The Galaxy A7 (2018) had three on its back, but Samsung is just getting started. Another camera offers an ultra-wide lens for wide shots.

The Galaxy A7 will be available in the Philippines starting October 27 at a suggested retail price of P17,990. This also includes a 24MP front-facing sensor. Below that, a 2x optical zoom-enabled telephoto camera will enable users to get closer to their subjects. On the front of the phone is a 24-megapixel f/2 selfie camera.

The Galaxy A9 has a large 3800 mAh battery, which is bigger than those aforementioned flagships, so we should be looking at a phone with an impressive battery life. Since the Galaxy A9 is meant for the Instagram generation, this feature will be very well received for sure.

There's a trio of colours with silly names to choose from as well: Lemonade Blue, Caviar Black, and Bubblegum Pink. The face of the device has one camera. The device has no less than four cameras on the back.

Now for those in the states, we have some good news and some bad news.

Yep, the brand new Samsung Galaxy A9 is a mid-range phone that provides "more ways to express yourself than ever before", according to the South Korean company.

"We're excited to deliver on this promise and debut world leading smartphone camera technology with the Galaxy A9". This dual-SIM smartphone comes laden with Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box. As of now, the pricing is unknown and considering that it has Snapdragon 660 SoC, i assume it could be priced a little above the Galaxy A7 when it launches in India next month.
