Blizzcon 2018: Blizzard reveals Diablo Immortals

Introduced as a remaster for "another Titan" in a knowing what was probably a knowing nod to its lore, the announcement was made by Pete Stilwell, senior producer at Blizzard, during the opening ceremony of BlizzCon 2018.

Fortunately for them, Blizzard has already announced that they are working on multiple Diablo games so it seems one of them might be Diablo 4.

The story in Diablo Immortal focuses on the aftermath of the destruction of the Worldstone in Diablo II with demonic invaders trying to bring back a rule of terror.

Blizzard has a new MMORPG for mobile devices coming...

Not everyone was excited about this game. "We're walking around with full-fledged gaming devices in our pocket and we want to make a full-fledged game for mobile".

In one of the major highlights from today Blizzcon livestream, it was revealed that WoW Classic would have a release date in 2019. Hight also revealed the new charity pet - Whomper, a young yeti with an adorable pout - and more info about the next content drop for World of Warcraft: Battle for Azeroth, entitled Tides of Vengeance. Westmarch will be the game's central hub, however.

Regardless of where your preference lies with character class, you'll find new abilities for the current list of classes in Diablo Immortal (Barbarian, Crusader, Demon Hunter, Monk, Necromancer and Wizard) and can expect to see additional playable classes in the near future following its release. The gameplay video shows that it holds up well but it's hard to tell for certain just how well it'll perform with people all over the world playing together at once.

Diablo Immortal is co-developed by Blizzard Entertainment and NetEase, who in addition to having developed some of the most successful mobile games in history, has been a longtime partner of Blizzard in China.

Blizzard's Classic Games division is dedicated to refurbishing timeless titles from the studio's history and modernizing them for a new audience.
