Destiny 2 goes free for PC players until November 18

Destiny 2 will be free to download and keep - that's right, keep, this is no trial - if you claim it on Battle.net before November 18.

Destiny 2 will be free to download and keep until November 18, 2018 as per an announcement at Blizzcon. This is of course, the base version of the game and does not include recent expansion, Forsaken.

You don't exactly need a gaming PC to run Destiny 2, but your netbook probably isn't going to cut it.

Destiny 2 is available now for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.

Today, Bungie has announced that the PC version of Destiny 2 will be free to everyone for a limited time.

Destiny 2 is an online-only multiplayer first-person shooter video game developed by Bungie and Activision.

If you ever wanted to try Destiny 2 and you aren't gaming on consoles, or wanted to try it out on PC but didn't want to spring for it, now's your chance! When you log into the client, you will be notified of a gift which will allow you to claim the game.

During the Destiny 2 gameplay reveal event past year Activision confirmed this. While its pay-to-win micro-transactions have been removed since launch, it's still tough to recommend due to this odd decision of requiring a purchase of the last two expansions to access this one.
