Thugs of Hindostan initial reviews: Fans and critics express disappointment

When Aamir was told about the same, his reaction was that of eyeballs popping out, post which he said, "I personally believe that ticket price should be cheaper and cheaper so that a greater number of people can go and watch the film".

Filmed in India, Thailand and off the coast of Malta, it brings together for the first time Amitabh and Aamir, two of Bollywood's most bankable stars, in battles against the British East India Company in 1795, and with stunts and pyrotechnics galore.

The reviews for Aamir Khan's Thugs of Hindostan are in and things are just not looking good.

The YRF production is the solo release this week and this will definitely help it in raking more moolah.

Despite all the hype that the Vijay Krishna Acharya's directorial created with its trailer, songs and promotions, the film turned out to be a "grand ship" that sank.

After much anticipation, Aamir Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, Fatima Sana Shaikh and Katrina Kaif-starrer Thugs of Hindostan has finally hit the cinema screens on November 8, 2018. Taran Adarsh tweeted, 'All that glitters is NOT gold. Some engrossing moments in the first hour, that's about it. Formula-ridden plot, screenplay of convenience, shoddy direction are the main culprits'.

In the past, Aamir Khan's films have done well in China.

Thugs of Hindustan has received negative reviews and average ratings from critics like Taran Adarsh and others, who have described the movie as a big disappointment. #TOH is a golden opportunity lost, a KING-SIZED DISAPPOINTMENT!' In his earlier opinions, Adarsh had mentioned that Thugs of Hindostan could earn as much as Rs 50 crore on its opening day.

On the other hand, some of the moviegoers seemed to like the film and called Thugs of Hindostan as a visual feast.
