Star Wars: Galaxy Edge's Disney park ride names, more details revealed

Disney Parks, Experiences and Consumer Products Chairman Bob Chapek revealed the names Saturday during a Destination D event at Disney's Contemporary Resort.

Coolest of all, Star Wars composer John Williams created a brand new "Galaxy's Edge" score that visitors will hear throughout their journey in Galaxy's Edge.

Millennium Falcon: Smuggler's Run attraction is expected to have a capacity of around 1,800 guests an hour when running a peak efficiency.

The Millennium Falcon ride - where small groups of guests will get to pilot Han Solo's famous ship on a perilous mission - is called "Millennium Falcon: Smuggler's Run". This adventure takes place in a battle between Leia Organa's (formerly Princess Leia) Resistance and the First Order.

The other ride will be called Rise of the Resistance.

Unless you're a little too short for a stormtrooper, you'll soon get to experience a galactic space battle in the Disney theme park attraction Rise of the Resistance.

"One of the things I am most excited about is inviting our guests into that Star Wars universe", creative executive Scott Trowbridge says.

Who knows where the mysterious chicken walker came from, but we're sure it's been giving locals joy as they've been driving up the A38! Check out the images below. Galaxy's Edge opens at the Disneyland Resort in the summer of 2019, and subsequently opens at Florida's Walt Disney World Resort in the fall of 2019.
