Real Madrid reportedly agree deal to sign Chelsea star Eden Hazard

Real Madrid have agreed a deal with Eden Hazard as they look to secure his signature from Chelsea next season, according to reports in Spain.

Chelsea have a dismal recent record against City, having lost their last three encounters, if you include the summer's Community Shield. But Chelsea dug in their heels and insisted he was going nowhere.

"The deal is very hard for this reason, I think, because the club wants a short contract and the players want a long contract", he said. The Premier League club value the attacking midfielder, 27, at around 170 million euros, a fee that Madrid would not be willing to shell out for a player entering the final year of his contract.

Also, Mateo Kovacic likely to partner N'Golo Kante and Jorginho as his strongest legs in the middle. The club is available to sign a new contract immediately, but it's up to him if he wants to renew or not.

Sarri has publicly urged the club to keep hold of the experienced duo, although he accepts matters have been complicated by the fact Luiz and Fabregas want more than the 12-month increases Chelsea usually offer to players over 30.

Radio station Onda Madrid, cited by AS, say that Los Blancos are now ready to offer Hazard his dream move, and they have already agreed terms with the player.

"I want Eden here, of course", said the Italian.

West London side Chelsea suffered a 2-1 loss against Wolves in their last Premier League game and are again faced with a tough game against league leaders Manchester City.
