EPL: Aaron Ramsey takes pay cut to leave Arsenal

Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey will reportedly undergo his Juventus medical on Sunday.

With less than six months left on his current deal, the 28-year-old has been free to talk to foreign clubs since January 1st, and according to Sky Sports, he has now reached an agreement to join Juventus on a free transfer in the summer.

Ramsey will make around $180,000 per week with the Italian club, making him the second highest earner at the club behind Ronaldo, but ahead of Paulo Dybala and Douglas Costa.

The Wales global is Arsenal's longest-serving playing, having moved to the Emirates from Cardiff City as a teenager back in 2008.

Meanwhile, head coach Unai Emery had reservations about Ramsey's role in his squad. Ramsey's Arsenal contract ends in June this year which enabled Juventus to sign him on a pre-contract agreement.

"My idea and focus, I say to him every day, is that we need his performance for us", said Emery.

"After, his future belongs to him, his family and agent".

But Emery insists the player is willing to give his all. But every day in training he is working very well.

The midfielder has been discussing a move for weeks and will leave the Emirates after 10 years at the club.

And Ramsey said as much to him during Arsenal's 3-0 win over Blackpool in the FA Cup last weekend. It's quite a steal for Juventus who won't be paying any transfer fee for Ramsey, someone who is easily worth £85 million in this inflated market for the quality he brings into any side.
