Florida Should Investigate R. Kelly, Says Azriel Clary's Father | Crime Time

"I'm here today to encourage victims of sexual assault or domestic violence related to these allegations to please get in touch with our office", Foxx said at a press conference Tuesday.

In May, R. Kelly's former manager, James Mason, was arrested after being accused of threatening to kill a man who says Kelly is holding his daughter against her will, CNN reported.

CNN.com reports, "The incident, which allegedly took place in May 2018, was reported by Timothy Savage to Henry County police".

Kelly has repeatedly denied the allegations.

Joycelyn Savage's family was featured in Lifetime's docuseries, Surviving R. Kelly, which revealed Kelly's longtime history of alleged abuse against young women and girls. Russell allegedly sent text messages the morning of the premiere of "Surviving R. Kelly" that read "it would be best for him and his family if the documentary does not air".

A Cook County State's Attorney representative said officials are "in the process of reviewing and following up on these calls".

Joycelyn Savage's family has claimed she is having a sexual relationship with Kelly, and that she is being manipulated by him into cutting off contact with the outside world.

Cook County State's Attorney Kim Foxx announced Tuesday afternoon during a press conference they are asking anyone who may be a victim or has information about a possible victim connected to the allegations against the singer in IL to come forward so they can investigate the claims.

Foxx said that after watching the series herself, "I was sickened by the allegations". For their sake, let's hope they receive justice. The incident was passed on to a magistrate judge in Georgia, who responded by issuing a warrant against Mason for his "terroristic threats and acts" in July. The warrant is assigned to the sheriff's office. Kelly and the alleged victim, in her 20s at the time of the trial, denied it was them in the video.

A Cook County jury acquitted Kelly of all 14 counts of child pornography in 2008.

Kelly won a Grammy in 1997 for "I Believe I Can Fly", and is known for such raunchy hits as "Bump N' Grind" and "Ignition".
