So many people get hurt in the bloody 'Punisher' Season 2 trailer

Several bangs, in fact.

Netflix revealed the premiere date for Season 2 of January 18 in a teaser trailer last week, which featured Jigsaw - Castle's old best friend, Billy Russo, who is now embracing his villainous self.

Following teasers, Netflix shares the first full-length trailer for season two of Marvel's The Punisher.

Marvel's The Punisher is about to get even more intense.

Check out the trailer below. Netflix is now in the midst of cancelling many of their Marvel programs, leaving the fate of The Punisher in muddy water.

That seems to be the general idea going into the new season of THE PUNISHER, wherein Frank Castle (Jon Bernthal) is trying to escape the horrors of the last season, only to be brought back into the punishing game to help a young woman (Giorgia Whigham).

Take a look at the new posters below and if you haven't yet, be sure to check out the trailer, too. Meanwhile, those same forces will align with Billy Russo (Ben Barnes), who's still got his own scores to settle, once incoming religious zealot John Pilgrim (Josh Stewart) figures out they have a mutual enemy in Frank.

Following the cancellation of Daredevil, Luke Cage and Iron Fist, who knows how much longer The Punisher will be around. Season 3 of Jessica Jones is still expected to arrive at some point this year, but the big wildcard is the launch of Disney's Netflix rival Disney+ also later this year, a new streaming platform that will be the home of Marvel content, among other things. Are you excited for Season 2 of The Punisher?

Guess we'll have to wait and see if this is really the end after The Punisher season 2 debuts on Netflix in a week on 18 January.
