Samsung unveils "The Wall", a 219-inch television

Samsung unveils

If you're like many Americans, you probably wouldn't mind having a bigger TV.

The CES Technology Show, where the latest in tech, gadgets and gizmos is unveiled at the start of every year, always brings a few cool surprises every year. The television comes in at 98 inches and 8K QLED resolution, giving it more than 33 million pixels. It's where the highest resolutions and strangest form factors show up.

Is this really "the world's most cinematic TV"? Called the LG Signature OLED TV R, the TV is expected to go on sale later this year.

Samsung " s new whopping 219-inch MicroLED TV is nicknamed as "The Wall'.

Sony's Master Series Z9G doesn't care though - seeing as it has an advanced machine learning algorithm for upscaling to 8K, and the hefty X1 Ultimate processor to power it. We'll let you know when we've had the chance to test it thoroughly - but the focus on faithful recreations of shows, films, and photos can only be a good thing.

The tech company also launched a much smaller micro LED at a modest 75-inches. The other notable TV manufacturers also had their 8K TVs on display.
