The three-time All-Star big man has spent his entire National Basketball Association career with the Memphis Grizzlies, but the franchise is entering a rebuilding stage.

Marc Gasol's No. 33 jersey will be retired by the NBA's Memphis Grizzlies, team owner Robert Pera said Friday, a day after trading the Spanish center to the Toronto Raptors.

Memphis will keep guard Mike Conley following Thursday's trade deadline. He spent 11 seasons with the Grizzlies and is the franchise's all-time leader in points, rebounds, blocks and made field goals.

Miles (6-6, 230), who will wear jersey #6, has appeared in 40 games (one start) and has averaged 5.5 points and 1.7 rebounds in 14.1 minutes this season.

Once the captains got down to the real serious business and all was said and done, Raptors stars Kyle Lowry and Kawhi Leonard found themselves as opponents, as the former was selected as a reserve for Team Giannis, while LeBron used one of his starter selections to pick Kawhi.

Toronto is planning to send Jonas Valanciunas, Delon Wright, CJ Milles and a 2024 second-round pick to the the Grizzlies for Gasol, league sources tell ESPN.

The 34-year-old Gasol is averaging 15.7 points per game, 8.6 rebounds and a career-high 4.7 assists. He is owed $67 million over the next two seasons, including an early termination option in 2020-21, and is expected to draw interest as a trade target after the season.
