The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt's Geralt of Rivia arrives in Monster Hunter

As the Leshen is not from the New World, players should expect it to move differently from the monsters they usually fight. The landscape and its diverse inhabitants play a critical role in each quest as players strategically use the surrounding environment including terrain, vegetation and wildlife to their advantage in battle or become hindered by the hazards they present. Enter Geralt of Rivia, The Witcher.

Capcom has kick-started the next crossover event for Monster Hunter World, with The Witcher III's Geralt now strutting his stuff in the sprawling action-adventure title.

The first part of the event is live now, consisting of a new Contract called Trouble in the Ancient Forest, which is playable by anybody who has reached Hunter Rank 16 or above. That contract will be offered as a limited-time event until March 1st, and completing it will reward players with the resources needed to craft Ciri's armor and weapon set. Now, that Monster Hunter: World Witcher crossover is available, and Capcom has released a new launch trailer to mark the event. Defeating this mysterious creature will require the skills befitting a seasoned professional, and gamers will have at their disposal the White Wolf's arsenal and abilities, including his silver sword and combat magic. For completing the rank 50 quest, you'll get resources towards crafting Ciri's weapon and armour set.

With flexible online multiplayer options and an accessible quest structure, players can tackle challenges alone or join up to three other hunters online for cooperative play.

Included in the DLC is a new quest for HR50 players to tackle.

The Monster Hunter World Witcher update has been released for both PlayStation 4 and Xbox One which offers a free single player questline featuring Geralt.
