Toyota TRD RAV4 revealed

The fifth-generation Toyota Rav4 TRD off-roader has made its debut at the 2019 Chicago Auto Show.

Prices for Toyota RAV4 TRD Off-Road has not yet been announced, but the price will definitely exceed the cost of Adventure (from 32 900 dollars.in the United States).

Features such as Hill Start Assist Control (HAC), Trailer Sway Control (TSC), and Downhill Assist Control (DAC) are optional.

On the hardware front the RAV4 TRD Off Road has been upgraded with twin-tube shocks that have been re-valved and fitted with new rebound springs for better off-road performance. Toyota's suite of safety and driver assist technologies is also standard across the board, offering adaptive cruise control and lane departure warning, as well as several others.

Design of the 2020 Toyota Rav4 TRD is inspired by Toyota's rich off-road racing history. The carmaker did say that the introduction of this new model in the TRD lineup is a herald of changes to come for all of the models wearing the TRD badge. Channelling its inner 4Runner, the RAV4 TRD Off-Road certainly looks the part of an adventurous SUV with black-plastic fender flares, darkened grille and bumper elements, matte black aluminum wheels, and knobby all-terrain Falken Wildpeak tires. As for the Tacoma Limited, it features standard LED DRL and LED headlamps, chrome taillamp inserts, 18-inch alloys, the upgraded Smart Key operation on the passenger door, and the Panoramic View Monitor (PVM). Several specially decked-out versions of Toyota models are on display, including the Tacoma TRD and the Sequoia TRD. Inside, there is practical synthetic leather upholstery trim and washout vinyl floors with red stitching and TRD embroidery. TRD and Limited trims can also be had with LED headlights that sport a new design. The standard six-speed automatic transmission manages this thrust, sending it to all four wheels through Toyota's Multi-Mode 4WD system with locking center differential.

Blind Spot Monitor (BSM) with Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA) and Rear Cross Traffic Braking (RCTB) system will also be standard on the 2020 RAV4 TRD Off-Road. Given that manuals aren't exactly big sellers in America, it's a bold move from Toyota.
