Wolverhampton Wanderers vs Newcastle United, Premier League

In the second half, Newcastle moved ahead through Isaac Hayden, who finished off a smart move by the away side.

"Everybody knew that we had the three points, and it was really disappointing to concede the way that we conceded", Newcastle manager Rafael Benitez said, adding that his team should have dealt with the late high ball that led to the goal.

Defender Willy Boly headed in an equaliser in the dying seconds as Wolverhampton Wanderers snatched a dramatic 1-1 draw with Newcastle United in the Premier League on Monday.

Newcastle were unhappy it was given after they wanted a foul on goalkeeper Martin Dubravka. The Spaniard marched onto the pitch at the final whistle and raged at referee Graham Scott.

But when asked if there are any problems between the two players, Benitez said after the game: 'No, it's obvious the disappointment is for everyone. You have to protect the keeper. These kind of balls in, you can do a little bit better, just punch the ball and finished.

It was not very clear watching the replay, but it's something we have to defend better. We have been here for years and it's still very hard to explain that.

"[Should Newcastle have had a free-kick?] In England they don't understand the rules so you can say whatever you want to say".

BBC reporter Jacqui Oatley pointed out, however, that Benitez "made a substitution in stoppage time which took around a minute" when he replaced Ayoze Perez with Javier Manquillo.
